Our Perfomances

Awaken offers a lot of performance opportunities throughout the year, so there's always something to get involved in!

June Recital

Our big production is our recital every June. Recital will have all performance pieces from normal classes throughout the year, so if your student's enrolled in a class, they'll be in recital! Our recital is held at the South Kitsap High School theatre in mid or late June!

WinteR SHows

In the winter, we hold a performance that combines dancing, acting, and singing. Our past winter shows include The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and The Cracked Nut, a parody of the Nutcracker. The winter show has auditions in September and generally performs in December. The winter production is a ton of fun, with the feel of a big theatre production! It's performed at Awaken, in the Fox Theatre.

Young Artist Showcase

Come springtime, we hold our Young Artist Showcase. This is a show totally composed of student created pieces. We've had dances, songs, skits, stand up comedy, and improv. This is one of Mac and Katie's favorite times of the year, because we get to see the brilliant talent of our students at work!

Summer Show

Awaken produces a Summer show every year as well. In the past, we performed a stage combat exhibition show called Swords and Shakespeare, where our actors learned how to fight with broadswords, rapiers, axes, and daggers and a long form improv show called Milk Squirrel. We will post news about the new summer show when it is announced!
